We are interested how conformation influences performance and looked for information about the form-to-function model. After interesting Facebook discussions and from research on the web we conclude that there isn’t any literature covering this field for American Quarter Horses with regards to different disciplines. We would like to understand what makes a horse winning in Halter, Pleasure, Reining, Cutting or Racing - with the perspective of conformation.
We are well aware that performance genetics influence the show success of any horse but on this page we only concentrate on the conformation.
We will post here new info and links and would be very happy to get feedback or suggestions!
